Unicorn Fukr Baton Rouge, LA
Kinetic Productions, Louisiana Dubstep, Antipop Radio, Dirty Disco
(special 2x4 tag set)

Unicorn Fukr has been grabbing the attention of Louisiana's
electronic dance scene in the short amount of time that he has been
spinning. A well-rounded
and versatile DJ, he started playing soulful drum-n-bass and moved to
several subgenres of house and dubstep. Since 2008, Unicorn Fukr has
hosted a weekly radio broadcast on 91.1 FM KLSU in Baton Rouge called
the Antipop Radio Show every Wednesday from 9 to 11 pm. His 2008 mix
"Dubstep Fetish" made waves in the community, and his long list of
top-notch club performances have proven that he is worthy of his busy
schedule. Along with his cohorts in Louisiana Dubstep, he has been
working hard to establish the dubstep scene, as well as fostering the
state's love for house music by promoting and booking local, national
and international talent with Kinetic Productions. It's clear that the
future is bright for this talented DJ, whose sets radiate the same
passion and positive energy that he does.

Dubstep/Drum n Bass:

Black Swan Baton Rouge, LA
Louisiana Dubstep, Microterrorizum, DubTerrain.net
Founder of Louisiana Dubstep, Black Swan has been working hard to
establish the state’s dub scene, using every opportunity to introduce
new fans to the music and book national and regional talent. She can
be heard worldwide on her Internet radio show, “Swanstep Radio,” every
Sunday night from 9-10 p.m. Central on DubTerrain.net. She has three
residencies under her belt since her induction as a drum-n-bass DJ in
2002, playing alongside an impressive list of headliners at shows
throughout the state, as well as along the Gulf Coast and in Texas. As
a member of the notorious Microterrorizum crew, and more recently the
Betamorph DJ roster, she brings to the table a fist full of ruckus
that'd knock the sense out of the hardest of the hardcore. Oddly
enough Bjork plays a heavy hand in Black Swan's influences, but that
is easily recognized through her eclectic tracklistings. Black Swan is
always available for bookings whether it be for dubstep or drum and
bass.

http://www.myspace.com/nthsynthesis

"American Pierce Warnecke and Frenchman Romain Serrate are the two humans that comprise the Nth Synthesis. Two geeks from different backgrounds, both captivated by technology and intelligent machines. After releasing an EP on the Canadian label Nishi, they returned in may of 2008 with a dual 5 song, 3 video, EP on BEE Records. Throughout their work they draw a universe of catchy melodies, chopped beats and distorted fractals. Their technological electro borrows from IDM while avoiding the experimental cliche. An alchemy right on the border of chaos, like the thermodynamic triple point between three phases; sound, emotion, and images. Influences as diverse as: Brian Eno, Plaid, Klaus Schulze, and Maurice G Dantec fill their simple "human" minds."

Artificiallifepreserver - LIVE PA
Psymbolic Sounds (Austin, TX)
http://www.myspace.com/artificiallifepreservermusic

"ALP has been working to preserve algorythms that behave like living systems since 2006. Insect-like drones and cell based beats drive environmental mixes of organized time units. Drawing from his experience as a member of Texas Psy-trance trio Init-String ALP will bring you a night of abstract, glitchy downtempo that could only come from a mind such as this."

KORINA BLISS:(Vancouver)

KORINA BLISS BIO:

Korina Bliss may be a fresh face on the DJ circuit but she’s no stranger to the party
scene. The road to Korina’s musical career started at an early age. When she was 10, she would make 'radio shows' by setting up two tape recorders and a mic facing each other so that one would play her favorite pop songs and their introductions, while the other would record the show. It wasn’t until years later when she became active in Toronto’s burgeoning rave and club scene that she rediscovered her love of music. Thanks to some close friends and promoters, she quickly learned the ins and outs of mixing vinyl. No sooner had she finished her first demo, she was quickly snapped up and signed to the LA based DGI Artist Management Agency where she is currently managed, developing her talent and perfecting her craft. Now living in Vancouver, she is best known as a sexy electro-house and breaks DJ, taking influence from industrial, metal, old school hip-hop and late 90’s-early 2000’s Euro. Aside from regular Vancouver gigs, past appearances have included shows along side Playboy
Playmate Tamara Sky at the Playboy Mansion and New Year’s Eve 2008 “Bedroom Ball” at The L'Olympia Theater in Montreal. Korina lives for the for dark and dirty bass lines, sexy, risque vocals (the naughtier the better) and high-energy club anthems. In her spare time, she enjoys taking on the odd modeling gig. "Theres no feeling in the world like making a crowd move on the dance floor. It’s addictive, intoxicating even."
- Korina Bliss

www.myspace.com/mattcerf
French-Canadian DJ/Producer Matt Cerf first made his mark in dance music as one-fourth of the group Second Sun. In 2001 his track, Empire, caught the attention of mega producer/dj Paul van Dyk and was immediately signed to Vandit Records landing the group instant notoriety and a spot on Quebec’s own Music Plus.

After moving to Los Angeles, however, Matt and the group parted ways. Matt took off in a new direction with originals like “Clearwater”, “Bent”, and “Miami Vice”. In 2004, he met producer/dj partner Shawn Mitiska and the two started remixing tracks for other producers, including Serge Devant, Eelke Kleijn, and Lange.

In 2005 Matt met singer/songwriter Jaren and the two joined forces with Shawn to create masterful originals like: “Light The Skies”, “Saved Again”, “Me & You”, “Down To You”, and “Let Me Breathe”.

“Light The Skies” (Baroque/Armada), which caught the attention of Armin Van Buuren thanks to the pumping Electrobounce remix by Retrobyte, climbed to 2 on the Dutch Dance charts and was the second most requested track on Holland’s SLAMfm radio station.

Besides being listed on more than twenty different compilations, the track ultimately rated as one of the top tracks of 2007! Since then, every track released from the trio seems to have made a mark on the industry. “Saved Again” was given the title of 2 track of 2007 by Armin Van Buuren!

May.29th.2009
Shiva Shakti Presents
THE LIFE AQUATIC: DALLAS featuring THE IMMERSE TOUR

KILOWATTS LIVE PA

.:Gaian Mind:. .:Native State Records:. .:Philadelphia:.

James Watts is the mind behind KiloWatts and his many different projects and styles. His work embraces the bulk of electronic genres, including breaks, IDM, techno, and downtempo. His fluency in piano is evident throughout his work, as is his penchant for jazzy riffs, intelligent structure, wistful melodies, and an often cheeky take on the current state and history of electronic music as a whole. His album “Ground State” is out on Native State Records, home to fellow pioneers Bluetech and Shen. It’s a collection of sweaty psychedelic downtempo grooves, churning molasses-thick basslines, and undulating synthetic sonorous mandalas. KiloWatts has albums on Artificial Music Machine that are full of visionary dimensions, fusing together a dexterous knowledge of sound synthesis, deep emotional articulation, and solid melodic intuition. Peppered throughout these monumental statements are releases with class labels such as Harmonious Discord, Thoughtless Music, and his own outlet, KiloWatts Music, that celebrate his adept technical expertise, often bringing a whirlwind of mindblowing digital wizardry in the form of glitches and edits.

He began making music in the early 90s with DOS-based trackers and releasing them on BBSs through the demoscene. He was a driving force in the foundation of Soulseek Records, a netlabel celebrating independent musicians during a time of heavy backlash from the record industry against filesharing. The label helped show that independent electronic musicians can use file sharing to their advantage by promoting and collaborating with each other. The label was born among a flurry of netlabels, many which still exist today.

An ever-growing list of projects and collaborations exists. Skeetaz, with breakbeat cohort Bil Bless brings hard-hitting digital glitched-out psychedelic funk. His collaboration with singer Peter Van Ewijk is a mystical ride with vocals and guitar, nested atop edgy electronica. With Tanner Ross, an eerie style of dark techno is born under the name Voodeux for Dirtybird’s techno sublabel Mothership. Fellow Philadelphian MC Amagine delivers consciousness-driven motifs in their digital glitch-hop project called Super Galactic Expansive.

ALIGNING MINDS LIVE PA

.:88:. .:Aleph Zero:. .:Washington DC:.

Aligning Minds is the unique collaboration of producers Daniel Merrill and Michael Folk, who use sound to achieve a mutual vision. Ethereal and dubby, uplifting and haunting, their music winds its way through the imaginative souls of its listeners, offering a deep exploration of mood and emotional atmosphere. Focused on unifying electronic music through diverse influence, their sound fuses elements of genres like downtempo, dubstep, breakbeat and idm, but without the need for formulaic restrictions. Through both studio work and live performances, Aligning Minds have been gaining interest and support from all over the global spectrum of electronic music. Intent on reaching a musical standpoint of balance and harmony between stylistic ideas, they move forward as a musical force with an ethic of positive growth and change. Daniel Merrill and Michael Folk are signed artists represented as Aligning Minds via the multimedia label known as Psymbolic.

THE GREAT MUNDANE LIVE PA

.:Psymbolic:. .:Chicago:.

Shaped by a "Do It Yourself" culture, Jeffrey Acciaioli was driven by his love of music to create the moniker The Great Mundane at first to only satisfy himself. Born and raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan he was exposed and later influenced by genres such as classical, jazz, bossa nova, hip-hop, and electronica. His broad range of favorites and training allow us to enjoy his "one of a kind" sound that is anything but mundane. The Great Mundane's twisting textures, catchy drum whips, and unique soundscapes leave us with a melodic collage that is unlike anything we've heard before. The Great Mundane was first introduced into the Chicago music scene before taking his passion and energy nation wide. Soon international ears were falling upon his unique sounds and requesting his talents. Recognized and appreciated by his untraditional sounds, The Great Mundane worked with Belladonna Records to release two limited time EP's and shortly thereafter signed as an artist to release his debut album "When Falls Arrive" with Psymbolic--sounds.

MAETRIK
.:Mothership:. .:Treibstoff:. .:Iron Box:. .:Immigrant:. .:Regular:. .: Dallas:.

Eric Estornel, under the names MAETRIK, MARIEL ITO, and simply ESTORNEL - has been contributing to his musical world around him since 1993. Eric has always searched for the future of electronic dance. Not being confined by rules of styles or genres is most important to Eric, as he makes his way through a political and fickle industry.

Cuban born and raised, Eric has always been around music. His father was a salsa enthusiast, and at a very early age Eric along with his older brother and younger sister were put into dance lessons learning all types of Dance. They all 3 soon shared the dream of becoming professional dancers and choreographers. Although a very talented dancer, Eric was always a little more fascinated with the art of musical composition and began experimenting with different acoustic and electronic instruments. In 1991 at the age of 13 Eric discovered a local Radio show in Dallas, Texas called Edgeclub that featured popular electronic dance of the time including Techno and Electro. Quickly Eric grew infatuated with the electronic sounds and intricate percussion and grew more and more fascinated with the Dj culture and Production side of the industry.

By 1995 Eric was a known and respected young DJ in Dallas, when he really turned to the production end of things, collecting and toying with different cheap synthesizers and drum machines. And by 96 he was already developing his unique blend of techno, electro, and breakbeats. Fast foward to present day, Eric with all of his different sudonyms has gained the respect of Djs, Artists, and music Enthusiasts worldwide. His Discography under the sudonyms Maetrik, Mariel Ito, Plaex, and Estornel - shows his production versatility and always evolving electronic sound.
